Margie’s Books along with other donors, provided copies of Look Both Ways by Jason Reynolds to every incoming 6th, 7th, and 8th grader at Lakewood Montessori Middle School in Durham, NC. The book is being used as their Summer Read. Students were truly excited to receive their own copy that they can keep and read over the summer. When school resumes in August, teachers and students will engage with the book through activities exploring the themes of community, identity, and perspective. Many thanks to Kara Watson, the school’s Librarian and Technology Champion, who is leading the project.
